ABOVE WATER PRINTS

If one ends up on your wall and brings a bit of calm or joy then that is magic to me.

MIKE GUEST

I spend a lot of my time in the water sometimes on the surface sometimes drifting through kelp below.

Buying a print helps me stay in the ocean with a camera and if these images bring you the same calm or spark they give me then that makes the whole thing worth it. Thanks for being part of it

Above Water

Above Water is where Dawn Days began for me. Early mornings on the surface of the ocean cold water soft light and a feeling that the world had finally gone quiet enough for me to breathe again. During lockdown I started swimming before sunrise half awake camera in hand letting the sea steady me.

Those moments changed how I saw everything.

Simple, calm honest a little reset every single day. These images come from that time.

They hold the colour the stillness and the small sparks that kept me going If you want the full story the film and conversations are linked above.

Every print is produced as a giclée on Hahnemühle German Etching paper.

Hahnemühle has been making paper in Germany since 1584. Their fine art range is the industry standard for photography prints that are meant to last — used by galleries and collectors worldwide.

German Etching has a distinctive tactile surface — warm, slightly textured, with a natural feel that sits somewhere between fine art paper and a traditional print. It holds shadow detail and tonal gradation beautifully, and the surface texture gives larger prints a presence that smooth papers simply don't have.

Each print is produced using archival pigment inks rated for over 100 years under normal display conditions. The colours won't shift. The detail won't soften.

Prints are unframed.
