Day 16: 16th May
A shift of pace for this Saturday. Woke at 1:30 dozed till 3:30 am.
As per the norm a cup of tea and then put this track on from Barry @bzzjackson . I then found myself having a boogie at 4am all alone - half dressed in a wet wetsuit. I don’t think I’m losing it - I just think I’m loving it!
Stu @beingconscious1 joined me in the water along with Brody his black lab. We had a little magical moment towards the end of the swim when a seal started to check us out.
Next week I’m going to tell you the story of how I met Stu and how he has helped and guided me over the last few months. Small acts of kindness go a long way. Thank you Stu.
No roasting coffee for the next two days so it’s time to relax and recover from a pretty long week. For those of you that don’t know me I’m normally a full-time photographer and filmmaker but as with millions of people around the world we’ve all had to stop. I’ve been helping out my friend at his Coffee Roasting business doing whatever he needs to be done. It’s been so refreshing to do something completely different - that has a really definitive end. The coffee gets roasted, put in bags, sealed and popped in the post. Simple? Well it’s not really that simple as I’m beginning to realise. Am finding out that coffee roasting is a science - a very exact science.
It’s also feels so good to help a friend when I’ve got the time and I’m willing to work - so why not?
